MS Dhoni is the second wicket-keeper to record 100 catches in IPL history.
After recording an emphatic win against KXIP on Sunday, Chennai’s captain MS Dhoni has reached another milestone in his IPL career.
Dhoni became the only 2nd wicket-keeper to caught 100 batsmen in the IPL.He did it when he took a diving catch to dismiss the KXIP captain KL Rahul who edged in Shardul Thakur’s bowling.
In the elite list, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik stood at the first place.He claimed 100 dismissals in the IPL when he was playing for Gujarat Lions in 2017.
However, Karthik is six less to Dhoni on top of the list of wicket-keepers with most dismissals in the IPL.The CSK captain has 139 while Karthik has 133 dismissals.Dhoni has done the feat during the match against Kings XI Punjab in Dubai on Sunday.
In the same season, against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, Dhoni has also become the most capped player in the history of IPL.He represented for Rising Pune Supergiant in Two IPL seasons before powering Chennai Super Kings for 165 matches.
In their next encounter, CSK will take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
