Macho star Gopichand is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming cop action drama, Bhimaa.The film is directed by Kannada filmmaker A Harsha and is slated for release on March 8, 2024.In a candid conversation, Gopichand shared some insights about the film and his career.Let’s know the highlights of the interview.
Gopichand revealed that he was approached by co-producer Sridhar and director Harsha during the pandemic through Facetime.They narrated a story that he liked, but he suggested some changes.
After eight months, they came back with a revised script that impressed him with its character development and semi-fictional elements.He agreed to do the film and producer Radha Mohan also gave his nod.
Gopichand described his character in Bhimaa as a serious cop who also has a romantic, comedic, and commercial side.He praised the director for creating a memorable character that he hopes the audience will love.
Gopichand admitted that he was disappointed by some of his film flops, but he did not blame the audience for them.He said that he always tries to learn from his mistakes and improve his craft.
He also said that he reflects on what went wrong with his films and how he can avoid them in the future.
Gopichand said that he was not aware of the exact budget of Bhimaa, but he always advises his producers to spend wisely and according to the script.He said that he cares about the financial security of his producers and does not want them to face any losses.Gopichand expressed his admiration for director A Harsha, who he called a talented and dedicated filmmaker.
He said that Harsha had a clear vision for the film and each character, and he executed it well.
Gopichand complimented the actresses in the film, Malvika Nair and Priya Bhavani Shankar, for their impressive performances.
He said that they played important roles in the film and added value to it.Gopichand also updated about his future projects.He said that he was working on a film with Srinu Vaitla, which was 30 percent done.He also said that he had another film under the SVCC banner and one more with Radha Krishna Kumar, to be produced by UV Creations.
He said that he had not signed any OTT projects yet, but he would let his fans know if he does.
