New Delhi, Aug 17 : The capital of India on Wednesday reported 1,652 new Covid infections, compared to 917 Covid cases reported the previous day according to the health bulletin. At the same frame the city has reported an additional 8 Covid connected deaths.
In the wake of the discovery of new cases, the total number of cases in the capital city of the nation increased to 19,88,391, while the death toll climbed to 26,400.
In the meantime the Covid positive percentage of the city has gone down to 9.92 percent.
The count of active cases is 6,809 out of which the patients are receiving treatment in isolation at home.
With 1,702 patients being treated in the past 24 hours the total amount of recovery has increased to 19,55,182.
The total number of Covid containment zones is at 322.
A total of 16,658 new tests –10,820 RTPCR and 5,838 Rapid Antigen — were performed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,97,50679 while 22,024 vaccines were given 1105 initial doses, 3,331 subsequent doses and 17,588 preventive doses.
The number of vaccine-affected beneficiaries as of now stands at 3,618,08,324 as per the health bulletin.
