New Delhi, Aug 30 : Digital solutions and services supplier Coforge (formerly NIIT Technologies) on Tuesday announced the launch of a center of excellence (CoE) for the Metaverse and Web3 technologies in India.The company intends to train and improve the skills of more than 1,000 employees to educate them services related to the Metaverse and Web3 requirements of its customers.
The new center in Greater Noida will promote research across disciplines and will identify a variety of ways to use the metaverse as well as its interplay with modern digital technologies.
“We are thrilled to work with the Metaverse, Web3, and related technologies to take advantage of the numerous possibilities for innovation that they present in our primary sectors of BFSI and hospitality and travel, as well as in new areas like manufacturing, retail and healthcare, as well as the public sector.” added Sudhir Singh CEO and Executive Director of Coforge.
Utilizing Microsoft technology, Coforge said it aims to expand its Mixed Reality (MR) offerings.
It has formed an agreement with industry leaders such as Virbela, Hedera and R3 for their Metaverse and Web3 offerings , and has further agreements in the works.
