The Matinee Entertainments banner, which is producing the film along with Ram Charan‘s Konidela Production Company tweeted, “Keeping in view of the pandemic situation, #Acharya movie will not be releasing on May 13.New Release date will be announced once the situation becomes normal.Wear mask, Stay home & stay safe! #AcharyaPostponed”.‘Acharya’ is another addition to the numerous films that have already been postponed long back.

The Koratala’s signature genre – social message-oriented commercial film ‘Acharya’ is jointly bankrolled by Niranjan Reddy, Anvesh Reddy and Ram Charan.

The movie is being made on a very lavish budget.Kajal Aggarwal is sharing screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi for the second time after ‘Khaidi No.150’.Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde will be seen in key roles in the film.
