Speaking to the media at the party’s office in the city, Reddy supported the statements made by the BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari about the liquor policy in Andhra Pradesh. He asked why the Chief Minister is hesitant to launch a CBI inquiry if his government has nothing to hide regarding this issue.

He criticized the Chief Minister for resorting to making disrespectful comments about Purandeswari, as he seemed unable to address the concerns she raised.

Reddy claimed that people from all walks of life in the State are worried about the strict enforcement of rules by the police.

When asked about his party’s stance on the arrest of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu by the State government, Reddy pointed out that his party had condemned Naidu’s arrest on the very day it happened.
