Quito, December 13, : .At least 18 were killed in a bus crash in Sucua, Amazonian Province of Morona Santiago, southern Ecuador.25 other people sustained injuries.This was reported by the Integrated Security Service ECU 911.According to the agency, Saturday’s accident happened in Huambi.The bus that was carrying passengers on the Macas-Loja route overturned and veered off the lane.
It said that “The bodies had been transferred to Sucua morgue” and added that 25 of the injured, including children, were transported to local hospitals.
Immediate assistance was activated with personnel from various relief institutions and fire department rescue units heading to the scene, Xinhua news agency reported.
Members of the Traffic Accident Investigation Service and Criminalistics were also on hand to carry out procedures for this type of accident.
