The Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to postpone the Tenth standard board examinations in the state.The Andhra Pradesh High Court directed the AP government to give them a written reply in this regard.
The AP High Court recently held a hearing on the petition filed in the High Court seeking cancelation or postponement of board examinations in the state.The AP government told the high court that it was postponing the board examinations during the hearing.
The High Court, however, directed the government to state the matter in written form.
The government has announced that the tenth standard examination will be conducted in the state from June 7 this year.
Other states have already canceled the SSC board examinations while some states have postponed.However, the government had earlier announced that the Tenth and Inter examinations would be conducted as scheduled.
The government is likely to conduct a review in July and take a decision on the conduct of the examinations after the severity of corona decreases.Opposition parties have demanded that the AP government should abolish the Tenth and Inter board examinations, as in Telangana and other states.
However, AP CM Jagan has announced that the decision has been taken to conduct the exams to secure the future of the students.
