Roja Selvamani, once a popular actress in Telugu and Tamil films from 1991 to 2002, has transitioned into politics and now holds the position of Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Youth Advancement in Andhra Pradesh under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government.
Her daughter, Anshumalika, is rumored to be making her debut in Telugu cinema, possibly opposite Dhruv Vikram.
However, her father, Selvamani, has dismissed these rumors and stated that a decision will be made if she decides to pursue acting.
Anshumalika, who shares her mother’s beauty, recently enrolled at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Indiana, USA.She shared snippets of her university life on Instagram, showcasing a casual yet chic look.
Notably, Anshumalika is an accomplished web developer, content creator, and writer.She received the Best Author from South India award from Zee Town Magazine for her book titled “The Flame In My Heart.” She is also actively involved in social services as part of the Cheers Foundation, sponsoring the education of five underprivileged children from Hyderabad.

In other news, Anshumalika faced online backlash for a recent Instagram video where she expressed how her feelings about celebrating birthdays had changed as she grew older, citing anxiety.However, the criticism wasn’t about the topic but centered on her English accent.Social media users mocked her accent, questioned why she didn’t speak in Telugu, and accused her of trying to mimic Lakshmi Manchu’s accent or appearing insincere.Anshumalika chose not to respond to the criticism.
