Megastar Chiranjeevi has rattled the YSRCP troops with his indirect satire, asking the Jagan Reddy government to focus on public issues rather than falling on the film industry. In response, Kodali Nani did what he does best – abuse.
He stated “There are many pakodis(silly fellows) in the film industry who try to teach us how to run the government.” Nani’s comment was lambasted by Mega fans and it got to a point where Chiru fans in Nani’s Gudivada constituency held multiple protests.
They raised the slogan “Pakodi Kodali Nani down down”.These videos went viral on social media and they were lapped up by mega fans.
Incidentally, there is police action against the protesting Mega family fans in Gudivada now.The police detained multiple fans for raising slogans against the local MLA.
It is also reported that there were JanaSena leaders who were also protesting against Nani and they too were arrested by the police.
Apart from Kodali Nani, other YSRCP leaders like Ambati Rambabu, Botsa Satyanarayana and Perni Nani also made objections to Chiranjeevi’s comments against state government.
Former YSRCP minister Perni Venkataramaiah also known as Perni Nani has come down heavily against cine actor Chiranjeevi for his comments on Special Category Status, projects, roads, jobs and employment.
“Movies and politics are two different things and we cannot club both.No politician has spoken about the remuneration of Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu or Ram Charan,” he said.
Chiranjeevi, during the Waltair Veeraiah 200 day celebrations, indirectly indicated to the YSRC high-command, “People like you should think about special status, construction of roads, projects, employment opportunities. We should think about feeding the poor.If you do, everyone will bow to you.Why are you using the Brahmastra on a sparrow like the Telugu film industry?”
Addressing the media on Tuesday, the MLA said that as a person he is a fan of actor Chiranjeevi, while pursuing Engineering, he used to garland the hero poster. He appealed to Chiranjeevi to watch a movie as a movie and should see politics as politics.
