The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday urged the Election Commission to remove bogus voters from the voters list in the city and submitted a sample from Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency to buttress its argument.
A team of BJP leaders, led by the party’s central city unit president N.Gautam Rao, in a memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner, said the party recognised bogus voters in all divisions of the Jubilee Hills constituency and urged that all such names be deleted from the voters lists.
Dr Goutham Rao stated that they found a lot of fake voter registrations in all the booths of Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency.
“In a particular house No 8-3-250/1/C, we found out more than 100 votes, but in reality, there are not more than four bed rooms, which is not more than 150 square yards.We also found similar irregularities in most of the places, We will b submitting some of the fake voter lists for immediate action and precautions”, he added in the memorandum.
Meanwhile, by requesting that the Lambada group be taken off the list of scheduled tribes (STs), a Telangana-based bjp mp has ignited a hornet’s nest.The demand made by adilabad MP Soyam Bapu rao sparked vehement opposition from Lambadas.
Leaders of the local Saffron party have also criticised his statements.
In a few locations in the adilabad constituency, protesters took to the streets and set the lok sabha member’s effigies on fire.
Three days earlier, after meeting with Union home minister amit shah, bapu Rao urged that Telangana’s Lambadas be removed from the ST list.
