Ram Charan, the popular star of the movie “RRR,” expressed his admiration for Kashmir as a fantastic place to shoot films in India.He attended an event called ‘Film Tourism for Economic and Cultural Preservation’ held at the Sheri Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), which was part of the Tourism Working Group Meeting of the G20 countries.
During his speech, Charan emphasized that Kashmir remains an unexplored destination and holds great potential for filmmakers.He mentioned that both he and his father, Chiranjeevi, have had the opportunity to shoot in Kashmir.Charan’s first visit to the Valley was in 1986, and his most recent film shoot there took place in 2016.
Visiting the SKICC auditorium again during the event stirred a sense of achievement in Charan, as he considered it a surreal experience.
He pointed out that despite the film industry’s 95-year history, it would likely take another 95 years to fully explore the beauty of Kashmir.The region, according to Charan, is untouched and holds immense natural charm.
Expressing his desire to contribute to promoting Indian tourism, Charan stated that he plans to shoot his next two movies predominantly within India.He emphasized his interest in exploring various locations within the country and avoiding overseas shoots unless there is a specific need, such as working with a Hollywood producer.
Charan’s most recent film, “RRR,” directed by SS Rajamouli, achieved global success.It received accolades at the Oscars, winning the award for Best Original Song in Telugu for the track “Naatu Naatu.” Currently, the actor is working on a film directed by S Shankar, alongside actress Kiara Advani, which is currently in production.
Overall, Ram Charan expressed his admiration for Kashmir as an ideal filming location in India.He praised the beauty of the Valley and its untapped potential, hoping to contribute to the promotion of Indian tourism by shooting his upcoming movies within the country.
