The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government on Monday released financial assistance worth 14.51 crores by issuing an order for the benefit of Haj pilgrims.
Announcing the same, Deputy Chief Minister (minorities’ welfare) S.B.Amjad Basha thanked Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for providing financial aid for the benefit of Muslims to take up Haj pilgrimage.

The deputy CM further added, that when the CM was informed that the Union ministries expressed helplessness on the issue on technical grounds, the CM assured to bear the additional expenditure from the state government, and accordingly, a G.O.was issued releasing the amount.
Amjad Basha said that the released amount would be transferred to the Central Haj Committee of India online.
