The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday, May 15, issued fresh notices to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy to attend questioning at the CBI office in Hyderabad at 3 pm on Tuesday in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
The CBI officials served the notice via WhatsApp.
Avinash Reddy has been grilled by the CBI previously January, February and April.
Although Avinash Reddy is presently in Hyderabad, it is anticipated that he may travel to Pulivendula later today.
However, the CBI has made it clear that he must comply with the notice and appear before them on Tuesday.Avinash Reddy has previously been interrogated by the CBI regarding this case.
The issuance of the notices, after a gap of approximately 15 days, indicates the CBI’s intention to gather additional information from Avinash Reddy.
Earlier this month, the CBI charged Avinash Reddy with tampering with evidence and conspiracy to kill Vivekananda Reddy in an affidavit filed in Telangana High Court.
The CBI’s persistent investigation into the Viveka murder case has led to Avinash Reddy being summoned once again.The CBI seeks to uncover more details and gain further insights into the matter.
Avinash Reddy’s appearance before the CBI on Tuesday is crucial as the investigation progresses.
The lawmaker had previously asked the court for permission to record audio and video during the questioning, which the court granted.
The YSRCP MP’s father YS Bhaskar Reddy is in CBI custody.The main accused in the case, Yerra Gangi Reddy, has surrendered to the police and will be in jail till June 30.
