Amaravati people and farmers faced a big blow as the High Court of Andhra Pradesh recently refused to stay the government’s proposal to give house sites in R5 Zone. With this, the concerned authorities were directed by the government to complete the required formalities.
CRDA officials on Friday reached the Dondadapu village to mark the sites. But the villagers did not allow the officials and sent them back.Villagers came with the proclainers. The locals said that they will not allow then this and this led to an argument between them and the officials.
The locals said that they are not against the house site allotment and they can allot the lands in R-3 and allotting lands in the zone that was meant for industrial purposes is not acceptable. They also alleged that the government wants to misguide the people with this.
Amaravati farmers said the same in their petition. They said that the R-5 zone is allocated for the electronic city as per the master plan and allotting house sites in the area is not acceptable.
However, the High Court did not accept the petition filed by the farmers.
The farmers and locals told the Capital Region Development Authority & Capital Area(CRDA) authorities the same and argued with them.
Later they held a rally in Thullur and went to the CRDA office and gave a representation to Deputy Tahasildar.Though the cops reportedly tried to stop them, they could not.
