The Bharatiya Janata Party is to organise a massive rally “Hindu Ekta Yatra” in Telangana on May 14, State BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar said.Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the chief guest for the “Hindu Ekta Yatra” which wiil be held in Karimnagar district.
Bandi Sanjay said that the main objective of the yatra is to bring all Hindus on to a single platform and exhibit unity.He called upon everyone to attend the yatra, which is being organised to protect Hindu dharma.
Party sources said that massive arrangements were being planned to make the yatra a success.
Apart from Sarma, Telangana party affairs in-charge Tarun Chugh will also take part in the yatra.
As many as one lakh people are expected to attend the yatra.
Sarma visited the city in September 2022 to deliver a speech during a colourful procession organised by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi for the immersion of Ganesh idols as part of the 11-day Vinayaka Chaturthi festival.
A security breach took place when he was delivering his speech from the dais at MJ Market.A BRS leader tried to snatch the mic when Sarma was speaking.
The police immediately intervened and detained the BRS leader.Following the incident, the Assam government sought a report from the state government.
