BJP MLA E.Rajender condemned the attempt to disrupt Sarma’s speech. He said that the TRS is desperate because of the fear of losing in 2023 Assembly elections.
Every year BGUS invites the leaders of the BJP, RSS or other right-wing groups to deliver speeches at MJ Market in which a stage is set up to be a welcoming place for Ganesh idols up to Hussain Sagar lake for immersion.
Prior to the incident, the region experienced some tension during the time BJP members and activists demanded the flexible with images of KCR and state minister Srinivas Yadav removed. The police were forced to remove the flexi.
The Assam Chief Minister then addressed the crowd. He condemned the rule of dynasties in Telangana and added there is no room for Razakars in the country.
Sarma declared that Telangana should be able to transcend the one family of political leaders.
He added that India is now an ‘Viswa Guru’ under the direction of PM Narendra Modi.
The Assam Chief Minister also made reference to the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and said, “People used to say Ram temple would never be constructed however, it is now being built in the same location in which Babar had constructed the mosque after demolishing a temple” he said.
Prior to that, Sarma visited the Bhagyalaxmi temple in Charminar and performed a prayer.
He was planning to speak to the people in the area, but the police stopped him from speaking on the grounds that there isn’t any permission for speeches on political issues.
In a conversation with journalists, Sarma criticised the Telangana Chief Minister.
In response to KCR’s request for an “BJP-mukt Bharat” Sarma claimed that the BJP talks of an unfettered dynasty.
“We still see photos of his (KCR’s) daughter and son in Hyderabad.
The country’s politics must be free of dynasty rule,” he added.
Sarma said that a government should be a place for people, not families.
