India-China armies to end their disengagement at Gogra-Hot Spring in Ladakh by the 12th of September

New Delhi, Sep 9 : The Indian and Chinese troops will complete the process of disengagement in the Gogra-Hot Spring area (PP-15) in the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh by the 12th of September.
Both countries began the 16th round of talks at the level of Corps Commanders on the 17th of July 2022 at the Chushul Moldo meeting point in the eastern region of Ladakh.

After this meeting, both parties continued to dialog to resolve border issues.

Both India and China have now formally agreed to begin moving towards their respective boundaries in the Gogra-Hot Spring region The Ministry of External Affairs said in an announcement.

According to the agreement between the two parties the process of decommissioning in this region began at 8.30 a.m.on September 8 and will be completed by the 12th of September.The parties have agreed to end any further military operations in the area in an orderly way, and the withdraw of forces from both sides will continue to their respective regions.

The temporary structures that are constructed in the region by both countries will be destroyed The Ministry also stated.

The dispute over PP-15 ended the two sides are now moving forward negotiations to settle remaining issues on the LAC to ensure peace in the border regions between China and India.
