Jaipur 9th September : Rajasthan BJP’s factionalism is now out in the open, even when Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the state on Friday.Over the last few years, various camps headed by experienced leaders have been displaying their strengths and weaknesses.
On Thursday, one day prior to Shah’s scheduled visit the former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s supporters put up her signs in the city. They didn’t have the image of Jodhpur MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The followers of the latter also put up posters that did not include Raje’s images.
In reality the rivalry between Shekhawat and Raje is not new, and it was in place prior to the Assembly election in the year 2018.
While the saffron party was keen for Shekhawat to be its party president, Raje was hesitant for the same and so began the division that has been growing.
Party sources have confirmed that it is the fight for supremacy being waged in the party, which is evident in the hoardings that are now in place.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as well as Vasundhara Raje can be seen in the majority of the posters that are displayed throughout the city. The supporters of both of them are placing a high value on the respective leadership of each.
Shekhawat is not included in the hoardings posted by the Vasundhara supporters, and Vasundhara Raje isn’t on the hoardings of Shekhawat’s supporters.Because of the protocol, the state president Satish Poonia is featured in nearly all posters of both groups.
In fact, eyebrows were raised when Poonia’s RamdevraPadyatra was pulled out by the party’s top the leadership in Delhi.
Sources claimed that just three days ago, the state chief Poonia was forced to stop the Ramdevra Yatra from Pokaran after the intervention of the BJP’s national leader J.P.Nadda.There was total support given by a certain community to Poonia in relation to the Yatra. However, the displeasure of other groups of the population that were who were associated with the BJP was growing due to this.
In this situation the the in-charge Arun Singh urged the cancellation of the padyatra.
