More than 101 acres of lawns have been replanted with diverse grass varieties on Central Vista Avenue

New Delhi, Sep 8 : Nearly 101 acres of lawns have been planted with different kinds of grass in the newly renovated Central Vista Avenue set to be officially inaugurated on Thursday evening by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Furthermore, slopes that are properly shaped and drain channels are incorporated to minimize the any damage caused by the slowing of water.

In addition, the original Jamun trees are being preserved and all trees that are in existence were surveyed and cataloged.

Officials announced that a comprehensive plan for planting was developed in accordance with the original formal pattern of planting, and 140 trees have been planted.

They stated that 16 bridges permanent were constructed across the canals which makes the area beyond the canals open to public use.A portion of the area is designed to be a parking area for buses, two-wheelers taxis that are app-based and auto-rickshaws.

Additionally 19 acres of total canals have been renovated and strengthened.Canals have been equipped with necessary infrastructure such as Aerators.

The walls of the canal have been strengthened with strong and durable material to stop seepage.

Infrastructure like stormwater pipes and transmission cables, power cables for Doordarshan and other vital conduits are now consolidated in underground trenches, which allow simple and quick maintenance.

Officials stated that under the plan, the avenue has been renovated while restoring parts with heritage value to ensure the consistency and integrity of the Avenue’s architectural style.

On Wednesday on Wednesday, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) approved a plan to change the name of Rajpath as ‘Kartavya’.

After the approval the entire stretch from the Netaji statue in India Gate to the Rashtrapati Bhavan is now called Kartavya Path.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the revamped Kartavya path, also known as Central Vista Avenue on Thursday.
