Mumbai 4th September : The top industrialist Cyrus P.Mistry, the CEO of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group and former Tata Sons Chairman, was killed in an accident on the highway in Palghar in northwestern Maharashtra in the afternoon of Sunday.He was 54 years old.The accident happened when his vehicle, with at least 3 others traveling with him, smashed into the road divider.
Mistry’s death is just two months after his father Pallonji Mistry died on June 28, in Mumbai in the age of 93.
According to the police, Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his vehicle struck the road divider along River Surya near Charoti.
There were four persons in the car, out of which two of them, including Mistry suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the road that caused the vehicle to be badly damaged.
The two other injured and whose identities were not confirmed, have been admitted to an area hospital in Kasa.
The exact cause of the crash aren’t yet known, but it is believed that speeding was a factor in the crash.to the crash.
The entire area (Palghar) has been stricken with heavy rain since Saturday.
