New Delhi, Sep 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with the winners of the National Awards to Teachers, 2022 on Teachers Day on Monday.Teachers’ Day is observed annually on September 5, since it marks the anniversary of the birth of India’s second president Dr.S.Radhakrishnan, regarded as one of the best teachers of the country.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) The purpose of National Awards to Teachers is to honor and recognize the exceptional contribution of the best of the most outstanding teachers in the country who , through their dedication and perseverance have not only enhanced the standard of school education, but also made a difference in the lives of their students.
“The National Awards to Teachers gives public recognition to outstanding teachers who work in primary and secondary schools.
This year for the award 45 teachers across the nation have been chosen through an exhaustive and transparent online three-stage method,” it further read.
