Dubai 4th of September : Bollywood actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday recreated the rivalry between India and Pakistan in the biggest competitions prior to the start of the big blockbuster Asia Cup clash which is scheduled to take place on Sunday.India will take on Pakistan twice in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 as the two teams begin their Super-four-round campaign.
Prior to the start of the game, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in an interview with Star Sports India on the Koo app, discussed the moments they enjoyed watching the archrivals take on each other in the biggest tournaments.
While Vijay said that the India-Pakistan game creates a celebratory feeling, he also talked about the Amir Sohail tussle with Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad in the 1996 World Cup.
On the other the other hand, Ananya Panday reminiscences India against Pakistan games in the first T20 World Cup on which both times India beat Pakistan.
Vijay was not shy about saying that he was not satisfied with the fact that M.S Dhoni gave the ball to Joginder Sharma in the final over of the final clash.
Ananya Panday also talked about the legendary fight between former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar and India spinner Harbhajan Singh in the Asia Cup 2010 prior to getting ready for today’s match.
In the match on Sunday the two teams will be looking to get off to a winning start to get an advantage in the beginning in the round-robin format.
On Saturday the former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria stated that T20 is “anybody’s game” and Pakistan will be able to defeat India on Sunday, when the two teams meet twice in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
“The victory over Hong Kong was an important one for Pakistan for the Sunday game.It’s a 50-50 match on Sunday, and it’s a anyone’s game.Pakistan could beat India in that match,” said Danish Kaneria on live streaming exclusively arranged by the Koo app.
In the meantime, Afghanistan after facing defeat against Sri Lanka will now face Asian giants India and Pakistan in their remaining games.
