Dubai 1st of September : Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and decided to start the bowling against Bangladesh in the group B game of the Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday.According to Shanaka, the chasing aspect will be crucial on a wicket that is already used.
The same pitch was used for the India against Hong Kong clash on Wednesday.
“We will bowl first.It’s a wicket that has been used and chasing will be crucial.We prepared well prior to this game.We need to focus on our bats.We will be trying to play like we have played for the last two seasons.
The team that can come up with an excellent performance wins,” the Sri Lankan captain said during the toss.
On the other hand, the Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh has made three adjustments in their XI of players for this match.
“We wanted to start the field first but this isn’t in our hands.We did not bat well against Afghanistan but today is an entirely different day.Three changes have been made in the team and we’ve made a number of changes.I hope that it will be beneficial for the team in the near future,” Shakib said.Shakib.
“We are looking forward to playing some excellent cricket this afternoon, so we are not worried about what’s being talked about in the media,” he added.
