Mumbai 30 August : Actress Shefali Shah who plays the shrewd police officer DCP Vartika Singh in “Delhi Criminal,” is thrilled with the reception that for the second season of the show is receiving and stated that she wanted to be a part of the stories that are international in the way they are.Shefali stated: “The kind of response I’ve been getting for Delhi Crime 2 is enormous.We have put in an enormous amount of effort into the show, and we are grateful for the support we have received from our viewers.Since the beginning of season 1to the present, the viewers have repeatedly shown their admiration on the show and we couldn’t ask for more.Touchwood This season is also receiving the same kind of response, and more.”
The actress of 49 years said her character of “Delhi Crime” is very special to her.
She said: “Vartika is very dear and personal to me.I’m overwhelmed and thankful to know that it has touched so many people.I’ve always wanted to be part of stories that travel to places that are global in the sense that they are global in with Delhi Crime 1 & 2 we’ve done this”.
“Delhi Crime 2” revolves around a violent quadruple killing that creates fear in the public and exacerbates Delhi’s class divide.It’s a fictionalized story of the brutal “Kachcha Baniyan Gang that once caused a flurry of terror in Delhi, the capital city of India.
The main characters of the show are played by Shefali, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Yashaswini Dayama, Sidharth Bhardwaj Gopal Dutt Denzil Smith, Tillotama Shome Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav and Ankit Sharma.
Shefali will be seen in “Doctor G” with Ayushmann Khurrana as well as Rakul Preet Singh.
