New Delhi, Aug 30 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has demanded a severe penalty for those who burned an innocent girl in Jharkhand’s Dumka.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Tuesday in Hindi, “The savagery treatment shown to Ankita and her family has caused every Indian’s head to hang in shame.” she and her family members will be rewarded when the culprits of the crime receive severe punishment as soon as is possible.

Student in class 12 Ankita was harassed by a boy who eventually burned her alive by throwing petrol at her after she rejected him and made a complaint against him to her family.

The seriously injured Ankita suffered for five days in RIMS in Ranchi prior to dying at night on the Saturday.

She was buried in Dumka the next morning.The city of Dumka is the capital of the sub-capital of Jharkhand was in a state of closure for the third day in protest against the incident.

Shahrukh, who is accused of setting Ankita the fire, is now in jail, but citizens are protesting in the streets and asking that he be punished swiftly.A campaign is taking place via social media about this incident.

People are also upset because when Ankita was fighting between death and life in the hospital, there was no official was there to take charge of her or relatives.The video of Ankita’s words before her death is making rounds, in which she is declaring that Shahrukh, the man who burned her, has been taken to jail, and his followers are threatning to kill her family members.
