Los Angeles, Aug 30 : Indian-American film ‘Four Samosas’ been purchased by IFC Films after it premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.
“Four Samosas,”” romantic comedy that takes place in the Little India neighborhood of Los Angeles.IFC will launch the film in theatres as well as on demand from December 2nd, 2022, according to variety.com.

Ravi Kapoor directs and Venk Potula (“Veep”) is the lead in an ensemble cast which includes Sonal Shah, Sharmita Bhattacharya, Nirvan Patnaik Karan Soni, Summer Bishil and Meera Simhan.

The film follows a wanna-be South Asian American rapper, Vinny (Potula) who along with three other friends who are all of them thieves for the first time – is planning to rob a store run by his ex-girlfriend’s dad, in order to steal the wedding diamonds she is planning to wear and disrupt her engagement.

“Ravi has created an entertaining film that is part heist and part comedy film with an aesthetic and style that is reminiscent of Wes Anderson,” Arianna Bocco the IFC Films’ president of IFC Films said.

“It has an amazing ensemble cast who are willing to go along with Kapoor’s wild adventure.We’re so happy to welcome Ravi and his crew members of the IFC Family, and we are eager for the public to take in this touching and original film.”

“Four Samosas” was a huge hit with the critics when it premiered at Tribeca.

“Four Samosas” is produced by Kapoor along with Potula for Khrisp Entertainment, Rajiv Maikhuri and Craig Stovel for Creative Rebel Productions.

The film is produced executive by Utkarsh Ambudkar Karan Soni, Sanjay M.Sharma and Milan Chakraborty of Marginal MediaWorks as well as Kathrin Hamilton, and Matthew Young.
