San Francisco, Aug 28 : Video streaming platform Netflix is developing features that allow customers to play mobile games against each other and compete on leaderboards for gaming.According to TechCrunch that, in the this month, Netflix quietly launched the possibility for users to create distinctive “game handles” in a subset of its mobile games, like Into The Breach, followed by Bowling Ballers, Mahjong Solitaire and Heads Up!
“We are always striving to improve our members’ experience on the service and are currently exploring various features that can enhance the Netflix mobile gaming experience” Netflix spokesperson Kumiko Hidaka was quoted as saying.
“We don’t have any other information to discuss at this moment,” it added.
Furthermore, evidence found in the Netflix app suggests greater gaming goals, which include among others the possibility of inviting others to play games with you, and an option that allows you to see your ranking on leaderboards.
The video streaming giant launched its gaming service in the year 2000.
In March, the company introduced three games for Android as well as iOS platforms to increase awareness about the deficiency of safe drinking water.
