Sofia Sofia, 25 August : Mack Rutherford, 17, arrived in Sofia following the fact that he broke the record of the youngest solo pilot in the globe.His achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records, which presented him with two certificates right following his landing: for the smallest (male) person who has circumnavigated the globe on a plane alone and for the youngest (male) person who has circumnavigated the entire globe in the microlight plane alone, Xinhua news agency reported.
Rutherford began her journey from Sofia on the 23rd of March this year.She returned at this location after flying through 52 different countries and racking up close to 250 hours of flying time.
Bulgaria was the beginning and the final destination of his journey because of the backing of Bulgarian firm ICDSoft.
The five-month journey and the fact he left from Bulgaria and reached in Bulgaria were “absolutely amazing,”” Rutherford told reporters after arriving.”I am very content.It was an extremely exciting and exciting trip.”
There were a few “hairy” moments throughout the journey he stated, but he did not give up.
Rutherford is a Belgian-British pilot was born on the 21st of June 2005, which means he reached 17 on the flight.He has lived the majority of his existence in Belgium.
“I have known that I’d love to fly since the age of 11 years old.I have spent hundreds of hours with my dad who is a licensed pilot” he said.
“When I was 15 years old and 3 months old, I was granted my microlight pilot’s licence, making me the youngest pilot in the world.Since then, I’ve also completed two transatlantic crossings.”
