Along with easement of the requirements for testing for viruses, he said the government is likely to decide soon on raising the daily limit on arrivals.

The current limit on daily arrivals is set at 20000, with the government mulling raising it to 50,000, sources have stated.

The government is steadily easing its border control laws, which for a long period were the toughest of the main G7 nations.
