London 23 August : British Airways said that it will cut off about 10,000 short-haul flights from London’s Heathrow Airport between October 2022 between March 2023 and October 2022.Certain long-haul flights could be affected the flag carrier announced on Monday of its decision which aims to cut down on delays and cancellations during the winter months, according to DPA news agency.
At the close of October, only a couple of dozen round-trip flights a day in total of 629, are set being cancelled, according to the company.
The company plans to keep its connections throughout the fall school holidays to the most popular destinations for vacations.
The majority of the cancellations are announced in advance and passengers are likely to be able to change to other connections the airline announced.
Heathrow is the biggest airport in Britain has set a limit of not more than 100,000 travelers per day due to of an urgent staff shortage of staff.
This was originally scheduled to expire in September However, it was extended until the close of October.
This summer alone, British Airways has cancelled more than 3000 flights.
