New Delhi, Aug 19 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday urged all states to prioritize issues pertaining to national security.
In his address to the final session of the two-day National Security Strategies (NSS) conference that was held in New Delhi, Shah declared that the Director General of Police (DGP) of all states, and especially in the border districts should pay particular focus.

He said that states should keep a particular watchful eye on the changes in the population that are taking place in the border regions.

Speaking to the DGPs of the states The Union Home Minister stated that all information related to strategic and technical importance should be shared on the ground in the border zone districts.

Shah added that in terms of internal security and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir extremist groups in the Northeast and Left-wing extremism were three of the major threats that we have succeeded in neutralizing it.

He said that to accomplish this the government under the direction of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced new laws and was working in close collaboration with the states, and has made use of technology.

Shah said that all government agencies must work towards bringing the National Automatic Fingerprint Identification system to the next level.

He also stated that since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, he has always emphasized on security within the country.

The security mechanism has been enhanced to be able to deal with the challenges that threaten the security of the country.

Amit Shah, when he concluded the conference, stated that this is a battle to secure the future of the country and its youth, and that we must win at all costs.

Drug trafficking and cybercrimes were also addressed in depth in the forum.The top officials of states and union territories, as well as security personnel were in attendance at the event.
