Moscow 17 August : Moscow, Aug 17 : Russian Defence Ministry concluded contracts for the supply of Sarmat Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles as well as S-500 air defense systems to Russian troops.The contract for the production and delivery of Sarmat missiles was signed by the deputy defence minister Alexei Krivoruchko and CEO of the Makeyev State Rocket Center Vladimir Degtyar at the Army 2022 international military-technical conference, Xinhua news agency reported using the TASS news agency.
The contract for the purchase of the most modern S-500 air defense system was signed by Krivoruchko and Almaz-Antey Vice-Chairman Vitaly Neskorodov during the forum, TASS reported.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in June that the first Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile system will enter combat service at the end of the year.
