Washington on August 11, : An “potentially dangerous” massive asteroid is expected to be within 4.3 million kilometers of Earth on the Friday according to NASA.The asteroid, which is named 2015 FF and estimated diameter of between 13 and 28 meters, according NASA’s Centre for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS).
It will speed over the Earth at the speed of approximately 33,012 km/h, Live Science reported.
NASA define any space-related object that is within 193 million kilometers of Earth as an “near-Earth object” and any object that is moving within 7.5 million kilometers is “potentially dangerous.”
NASA has calculated the paths of all near-Earth objects that will remain until the conclusion of the century.At present, the Earth is safe from an apocalyptic collision with asteroid for at least 100 years.
Many space agencies are researching ways to deflect asteroids that are flying straight towards Earth.
