Bihar Oppn predicts an Cong renewal due of the BJP’s “dictatorial approach”

Patna 7 Aug : The principal opposition party in Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) believes that the recent actions against the Congress by the Central agencies will benefit the grand old party.
According to RJD The BJP that has adopted its slogan of “Congress Mukt Bharat” is also giving space for the Congress to revive its power.

RJD vice-president Shivanand Tiwari says, “The method in which the government machinery was employed to block pre-scheduled programs of the Congress party, this situation has not occurred in the country after independence. The way that the police were deployed in the home of Sonia Gandhi, the manner in which it interacted with Rahul Gandhi as well as other Congress leaders, and even forcibly prevented them from participating in protests and all of it is attributed to the murder of democracy.”

“In democracy, each political party is entitled to protest against government policies,” Tiwari says.

“BJP government has been celebrating ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ as well as launching the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign in the country, but that’s not the case.

RSS as well as BJP did not recognize the Tricolour for a long time. The flag of the country was raised in RSS headquarters in Nagpur only after 2007.

Then, they’re pretending to be patriots,” he adds.

“On January 26 1930, the Tricolour was erected in each house of the country.

It is a symbol that relates to democracy, freedom and equality as well as brotherhood. The BJP is attempting to cut down the democratic process in the country,” Tiwari says.

“In an effort to save the democratic system If any government is attempting to stifle the protests of opposition parties it is our responsibility to protest against the actions of the government,” the RJD leader declares and adds that at present the BJP is “using central agencies as a weapon to target the leaders of all political parties in the country”.

Congress party in an area like Bihar was losing ground especially after its disastrous results in the 2020 Assembly elections.

But , now, the party is receiving popular support. In addition, the members of the old grand party are unified.

The unity was apparent in the streets of Patna when the male and female workers took on the police officers on the march of protest toward the Raj Bhawan.

The protest was led by Madan Mohan Jha, the state president of Congress party of Bihar.

Jha declares, “We were on the route to the Raj Bhawan to deliver an application to Governor Phagu Chauhan, but the police were preventing us from marching. The police did not enforce section 144.that was imposed in the areas selected by us for our protest march. We haven’t violated the Covid protocol either. It is difficult to comprehend why Patna Police stopped us for the protest against inflation.”

“We are not scared of the BJP or JD(U).Our struggle against Narendra Modi’s government will go on and we will organize demonstrations in the near future too,” he adds.

Like Congress other political parties are returning to their political strength because of the investigation agencies.

On July 31st Arun Singh the national secretary of BJP announced an alliance with JD(U) not only until 2025, but in 2029.To this the JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh stated that his primary concern is not to form an alliance with the BJP or any other political party.

“We are currently working on strengthening the structure of organisation of the party. We will then we will think of an alliance with any political group.

An alliance with the BJP is a possible option of the near future,” Lalan Singh said.

The political analysts think that the BJP intends to remain in the power in Bihar until the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Lalan Singh’s statement of Lalan Singh clearly indicates that his party will not offer any opportunity for the BJP to grow in Bihar in the future as JD(U) aware of the consequences of running elections with an alliance partner with the BJP in Bihar.

For the 2020 Assembly election, JD(U) think tank claimed that the party had been able to get into third place because of the deceit of the BJP.The JD(U) workers stood with the candidates of the BJP in the elections, however the BJP workers backed down at the right moment when JD(U) candidates needed them in their Assembly areas.

The JD(U), in the 2020 Assembly election, contested on 112 seats and won only 43 seats while the BJP contests on 109 seats and won 74 seats.

The JD(U) is an alliance partner of the BJP and its policy makers are conscious of the anti-incumbency stance against BJP.Additionally, there is an impression that the BJP has an “tendency and record of trying to undermine its alliance partners.Shiv Sena as well as Shiromani Akali Dal are most prominent instances of this”.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also realized that forming an alliance with the BJP “would not be an assurance of being elected” in future.

In reality, Nitish Kumar, who is known to be “one of the most sharpest leaders” of the country, is actually doing the exact opposite of the principles of BJP.

Since the farmers are agitating in 2021 There is a feeling that the rural population of the nation are not happy with the Narendra Modi government. Therefore, Nitish Kumar is focusing on the farmer and working to address their concerns in Bihar. He has also passed an order in the cabinet meeting to increase the diesel subsidy by 15 Rs to 75 per litre, which is payable to farmers for agricultural purposes.

This has been an enormous relief to the farmers in the state.
