Anantapur to Delhi Kisan train derailed.A special Kisan train was launched in Delhi on Wednesday on the initiative of the state government to provide better marketing to horticultural products grown by farmers.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Union Minister Narendrasingh Tomar and Railways Assistant Minister Suresh Zoom inaugurated the flag hoisting train.The train departs from Anantapur Railway Station.
Although AP is a leader in agricultural products, it has been difficult to export to other states due to the corona effect, said CM Jagan.Of the total crop grown by farmers in the state .10 to 15 per cent of the total consumption in the state .South India is the center of AP fruit production.During the corona, transportation or export of other agricultural products became difficult.He said that farmers have a lot to gain from the Kisan train.
He asked Prime Minister Modi to intervene in the matter of train fares.He said it would be more useful if the charges were reduced.
Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said he was happy to launch the second Kisan train in the country.This train will be able to export agricultural products directly to Delhi.
He said the farmers of Anantapur district would benefit greatly from the Kisan train.He also said that the cost of transporting agricultural produce to farmers would be reduced.
Farmers transport horticultural crops, vegetables and flowers on the Kisan train.Some farmers are already moving their horticultural crops grown in Anantapur district to the Delhi market by road.2,190 km from Anantapur to Delhi .It takes 4-5 days to transport by lorries.The products will reach the market within 36 hours on the same Kisan train.Fruits can be damaged if taken in lorries.Their quality is declining.Not even coming up with the right price.
