New Delhi, December 31, : .The National Investigation Agency (NIA), Friday announced that it has filed a separate case against Jaswinder Sing Multani (a Sikhs For Justice member) who was arrested in Germany as part of a conspiracy against India.An official at the NIA stated that “the case was filed on Thursday under sections 120B and 121A IPC as well sections 10, 13, 17 and 18 & 18B UA(P Act),A against Jaswinder Sing Multani (a Germany-based operative for Sikhs for Justice, an unlawful association) and his other associates.”
Official said this was a case of criminal conspiracy by Multani and other pro-Khalistani groups located overseas for radicalising and motivating youths in Punjab both on the ground and online via social media platforms.They were trying to spread their ideology to seize Punjab from the Union of India.
They have helped to raise funds for arms, ammunition, and explosives through the use of smuggling network in Punjab in order to revive terror in Punjab.
Jaswinder Singh Mullani also has been in touch with ISI operatives in order to perpetrate terror attacks in Mumbai and other areas of India,” a NIA official stated.
A NIA official stated that a group of top officials had been formed to investigate the issue.
Multani was arrested in Berlin after Indian intelligence inputs.A team will likely visit Germany.
Multani was arrested in India and subsequently returned by the NIA.
