Islamabad : , Dec 31, 2007 – A bomb went off in Pakistan’s Quetta, capital of Balochistan Province, killing at most four and injuring fifteen others.Officials from the hospital said that it was an attack on a mosque.On Thursday, the blast occurred.Waseem Baig spoke for Civil Hospital Quetta.
He said that all of the injured were being shifted to the hospital.
According to the spokesperson, the injured people are receiving treatment in the trauma center at the hospital.
According to Xinhua, police told the media that an explosion took place near Quetta’s Government Science College.The incident occurred after a group was leaving the college.
Local media reported that several buildings and cars were also hit by the blast.
Rescue teams and security forces rushed to the scene and transferred the wounded to the hospital.
At least two of the victims are in critical condition.
The area was cordoned off by security forces and a search began.
The nature of the explosion is still unknown, according to police.
The attack was not carried out by any group or person.
