New Delhi, December 30, : , The Atal Innovation Mission of Niti Aayog released Wednesday’s compendium of the latest innovations in technology.The “Innovations for You” section features 70 start ups that were supported by Atal Incubation Centres of AIM, while the “The Ingenious Tinkerers” section features 41 innovative products from Atal Tinkering Lab of India (ATL).
Virtually, the digi-books were presented to Rajiv Kumar (Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog); Ramesh Chaud, Member Agriculture of NITI Aayog); Abhishek Singh CEO, MyGov; Chintan Vaishnav Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission at NITI Aayog).
Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, said, “We need more tinkerers, and innovators than ever before.They can understand the problem and offer a solution that’s suited to the Indian society.” He also praised both tinkerers as well as entrepreneurs.
According to NITI Aayog, both books celebrate the successes of Indian young innovators.
Chintan Vashnav, Mission Director at Atal Innovation Mission, felicitated the entrepreneurs and young tinkers featured in the two books and stated: “I hope that the stories behind every innovation inspire millions more start-ups and innovators across the country to develop new, promising and sustainable solutions with socioeconomic impact not only for our country, but also the rest of the world.”
In the meantime, the second edition of ‘Innovations for You’ focuses on start-ups and innovation in the fields of Agriculture and Allied services.
This book contains 70 Ag-Tech start ups that were incubated by Atal Incubation Centres across the country.
The start-ups use frontier technologies like AI, IoT and ICT to solve the problems associated with modern agriculture.This book’s first edition was about innovations in Health Care and was published in October this year.
The series ‘The Ingenious Tinkerers’ captures stories about the mindset and growth of young innovators.It is an effort to recognize and encourage students who have produced outstanding solutions to problems presented to them by Atal Tinkering Labs’ national innovation challenge, ATL Marathon.
