New Delhi, 28 December : .The Delhi Police said Tuesday that the residents were protesting peacefully.

The protest continues peacefully inside Safdarjung Hospital.”We are currently in negotiations with them,” Gaurav Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), told IANS.

Protesting doctors marched from Safdarjung Hospital to the Health Ministry’s Office, but they were stopped by police officers.

Further, the DCP stated that South West District Police had asked protestors to continue peacefully with their demonstration.

Sharma stated that they were kept in the hospital’s premises and treated peacefully.

He also said that their resident doctors have cooperated with Sharma.

Doctors are protesting in front of Safdarjung Hospital’s emergency ward.

All emergency services have been hampered for some time.The agitating doctors even disrupted ambulance service.

According to recent reports, OPD (Out Patient Department) has been restored at the hospital.Senior doctors are now attending the patients.

On Monday morning, residents doctors marched towards the Supreme Court in a demonstration.However, the Delhi Police stopped them mid-way.

The doctors refused to allow them to continue the march and surrendered their apron to the Delhi Police to register their protest.They claimed that they were assaulted and dragged during the march to the highest court.

Rohit Meena, Additional DCP Central district told IANS that 12 individuals were briefly held on Monday.

Since November 27, the RDAs in all parts of India have protested against multiple delays to the NEET PG Counselling 202021 admission and subsequent admission to the new batch of residents at the medical colleges.
