Mumbai, December 14, 2008 : .Four buildings were sealed by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corp.
after Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor & Amrita Arora, who tested positive for Covid-19 and organized testing camps, officials announced.This development follows a week in which Karan Johar, Bollywood director, hosted a party for about a dozen guests at his house.
The two actresses were then tested positive on Sunday.
Both actresses showed mild symptoms and were sent home to be treated.
The BMC H-West Ward took over the sanitisation in the buildings.
The civic health officials have successfully tracked around 30 contacts from celebs that attended Johar’s party last Wednesday.
They have sent them for testing, and their results are expected soon.
Among others who were present at the party was Seema Khan, wife of actor Sohail Khan whose infection status is not clear, though the host Johar has tested negative.
The buildings which faced the BMC action under the Covid-19 protocols are Satguru Sharan where Kareena Kapoor lives, Sarkar Heritage where Amrita Arora has a flat, Karan Johar’s Residency Building, and Seema Khan’s Kiran Apartments, besides conducting Covid-19 testing camps as a precaution.
Presently, 15 buildings in the city have been sealed after Covid-19 cases were detected but not a single slum or chawl anywhere is under the BMC’s lock.
