Bhopal, Nov 24, : After a delegation led a by the veteran Congress leader and holding slogans’mai gandhiwadi hun (I am a follower Gandhism), a political tug-of war erupted on Wednesday between Digvijaya Sharma, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, and Rameshwar Sharma, BJP MLA.Sharma marched from Sharma’s Hujur residence in the state capital to Mahat Hall in Bhopal,In a viral video, MLA Rameshwar Sharma threatened to break the knees of Congressmen if he entered his district.Digvijaya Sharma announced that she would perform Ramdhun at Rameshwar Sharma’s residence on Wednesday (Nov 24, 2017).
According to plan, Digvijaya and his supporters marched towards Sharma’s residence under heavy police deployment, but were stopped 200m away from Sharma’s residence.
Congress leaders shouted slogans, ‘we are Gandhism followers’.They then sat at the barricade and began chanting Gandhi Bhajan’.Sharma arrived at the spot after learning that Digvijaya and his supporters were at the police barricade.He asked the police to allow them (Congress leaders), to enter his residence, where a kirtan Sabha’ was being organized.
Sharma stated that he would make every effort to welcome guests and would apologise if they (Congress leaders), are in short supply.
Sharma stated that Singh left the venue after Sharma said, “We were ready for him (Digvijaya Singh), but he left for another place.”
