V.Ramana pointed out Tuesday to Future-Amazon parties that they had filed 21 volumes of bulky documentation in the case.This causes unneeded inconvenience as the documents are repeatedly repeated.According to the top court, the December 8 hearing has been set.A bench that also included Justices A.S.Bopanna, Hima Kohli and Hima Sharma asked each side to meet and prepare a convenience compilation of a maximum number pages.
The Chief Justice stated to a counsel that it was a problem to file 21 volumes within the same case.This is what I’ve been saying repeatedly.I have been repeating the same thing repeatedly.
Harish Salve (the senior advocate representing Future Retail) asked the court for permission to submit arguments in this matter.Orally, the Chief Justice reiterated that ‘what’s the point of filing so many volumes’.
Orally, the Chief Justice reiterated, “What’s all the use in filing so many volumes?” Salve said it was completely inexplicable.
The Chief Justice stated: “We will do one thing.The Chief Justice said: “We’ll do one thing.Salve said that a compilation was necessary in such a case.
The court directed parties to submit a compilation with as few documents as possible.
Mukul Rohatgi, senior advocate, stated that parties would interact and create a compilation.
The bench heard arguments and ruled that all parties agreed to file one compilation.The matter will be heard on December 8.The bench stated that all documents would be fully index.
The Supreme Court asked Future Group not to proceed with the proposed sale at Rs 24,731 of its retail assets, to Reliance Industries Ltd.(RIL), until the next hearing date on November 23.
According to the top court, “We can’t allow you do anything while we wait.” It is very simple.We are very clear about the issue of you filing lawsuits and SLPs (special Leave Petitions ) Future counsel was told by the bench that if meetings continue, then nothing will remain.

The Supreme Court had stopped all proceedings at the Delhi High Court regarding Amazon’s petition for enforcement of the Singapore Emergency Arbitrator’s (EA award) order.This prevented the Future Group’s Rs 24,731 crore merger attempt with Reliance Retail.
The Supreme Court had stated that it was in the best interest of the parties to suspend all proceedings at the Delhi High Court.It was ordered accordingly.Further, we direct all authorities (i.e.CCI, NCLT and SEBI) to not pass any final orders for four weeks starting today.The consent of the parties has been obtained for this order to be passed.
