New Delhi, Nov 21, : .A Delhi Police officer said that he had arrested the Tillu Tajpuriya Gang’s sharpshooter.
He was implicated in firing on Rohini businessmen.Officials say that the victim was a factory owner in Delhi’s Bawana, Haryana’s Sonipat and received a WhatsApp message and a voicemail regarding extortion on April 8.Chiku was the caller, who claimed to be a dangerous criminal belonging to an inter-state gang.
The criminal demanded Rs.1 crore from the complainant as extortion and threatened him with death by firing 100 shots on him.
The North Rohini station police registered a case under Section 387 (IPC), when the businessman called the police.
Chiku, alias Himmat was already in prison and the police took a cellphone from him.
On August 23, gunmen opened fire on the victim’s vehicle while they were at his home.Five rounds total were fired, and the criminals left behind a letter requesting money.
The police said that the letter contained the following: “You still have three days.” A call will be made to you letting you know the exact location of the cash.It will endanger your life if you refuse to accept it.”
Police immediately responded and filed another FIR against them under section 307, 387 and 34 of IPC as well as sections 25 and 27 Arms Act.
The official stated that the investigation had been transferred to Rohini (Delhi) because of its gravity and involvement by the terror gang.
After the Special Staff team failed to arrive at any conclusions, Chiku was taken to police to be questioned and arrested.
Chiku was interrogated by the team for two days.
He finally broke down, revealing the names of other shooters as well as a conspiracy.
The special police arrested Aakash Khatri (a Delhi resident), and three other suspects — Jayant Mann (a college friend of Sunil, Tillu, Rahul) who set up a sim card to make the threats and gave OTP numbers to Chiku to activate a WhatsApp account.
Ravi Parasar worked in the victim’s factory, passing his mobile number on to his gang.
The police also recovered the following: a.32 Automatic Star Pistol with four rounds of ammunition, and a.30 Automatic Pistol with four rounds.Also, they found a revolver with three rounds and a pistol made in the country with two rounds.
