Patna : , Friday’s withdrawal of three Farm Laws by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provoked sharp reaction from Bihar’s opposition leaders.Lalu Prasad (Rashtriya Janata Dal) President said that: “Congratulations farmers and labourers on winning the longest peaceful, democratic farmers’ agitation anywhere in the world.
The capitalist leaders and ministers had called farmers andolanjivis, khalistanis, terrorists, and anti-nationals.They have now lost the war against those who humiliated most of the population.
Ajeet Sharma, leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP), highlighted the Congress’ efforts and stated that his party had been against three agri law since their adoption by the central government.
In Bihar, the chief minister Nitish Kumar reacted to the rejection of farm legislations, saying: “The Narendra Modi government took the decision to approve the three farm bill laws.The laws were now reversed by the Prime Minister.It is therefore not possible to comment on it.”
Amrendra Pratap Singh, Bihar’s agriculture minister said that it was extremely regrettable that three of the farm bills had been cancelled by the central government.
