A search operation conducted near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir has uncovered a large narco-terror racket.As per the police reports, the equipment is believed to have been brought to deliver to terrorists.

During a search operation near the Line of Control (LoC), security forces found four pistols, eight magazines, 190 rounds of 7.63 x 25 mm, a packet of heroin drugs weighing one kilogram and a bag containing counterfeit international currency worth Rs 2,75,000.The cargo was likely to be delivered to Anti-National Elements (ANEs) terrorists in the area but the Border Security Force had foiled their attempts and seized the cargo, said SPS Sandhu, Deputy Inspector General, BSF PRO, Jammu.

However, the intelligence sources warn that along with Pakistan-inspired militants in the Jammu and Kashmir region, militants of Afghan origin are also likely to enter the country to carry out terrorist activities during the upcoming festive season in India.

According to intelligence agencies, they have information about the movements of Lashkar-e-Toiba, Harkat-ul-Ansar (Hua) and Hizbul Mujahideen.He said Pakistani-based militant groups were helping terrorists of Afghan origin to enter India.

Against this backdrop, a high alert has been declared.
