According to the Union Ministry of Family and Health Welfare, Andhra Pradesh is at the forefront of the National Telemedicine Service in e-Sanjeevani.While 1.2 crore consultations have been completed for e-Sanjeevani services across the country, in Andhra Pradesh, the Sanjeevani Ayushman India-Health & Wellness Center (AB-HWC) and the outpatient department (OPD) services together topped the list with 37,04,258 consultations on Tuesday.
Andhra Pradesh is the first state to implement the e-Sanjeevani after the central government launched it.The central government then set up 2,000 hubs and 28,000 spokespersons across the country.Karnataka state stands next to AP with 22,57,994 consultations, Tamil Nadu stands at third place with 15,62,156 consultations.
The other states in the list are Uttar Pradesh with 13,28,889 consultations, Gujarat with 4,60,326 consultations, Madhya Pradesh with 4,28,544 consultations, Bihar with reported 4,04,345 consultations, and Maharashtra with 3,78,912 consultations, West Bengal with 2,74,344 consultations, and Kerala has 2,60,654 consultations.
On the other hand, the number of covid positive cases continue to rise again in Andhra Pradesh.
AP reported 1,179 covid positive cases in the last 24 hours, says the health bulletin released by the AP medical and health department.This brings the total number of positive cases in Andhra Pradesh to 20,40,708.
Another 11 people died in AP in the last 24 hours.The total death toll in AP due to Covid reaches 14,089.
