Andhra Pradesh is reporting steady covid cases for the past few days.Though the state government is taking precautions, the Covid cases are reporting on a large number.
Currently, the Andhra Pradesh state government is planning to introduce a new method, ‘Inhaler steroids’, to treat Covid victims in severe conditions.
Covid victims will be examined for steroids (stimulants) that can be inhaled through the nose or mouth.
In Kerala, in the first wave of Covid, many people receiving home treatment were given steroids by inhaler.However, this came to the limelight when a medical team from Andhra Pradesh visited Kerala recently.
Dr Sambashivareddy, a member of the team who went to Kerala, said that the Kerala doctors had given him an inhaler of steroids when he had a bad cough, and his oxygen level dropped below 94.Now, the experts in Andhra Pradesh are looking forward to this method of treating Covid victims in severe conditions.
Also, he said that this should not be given to normal patients to prevent Covid.He said that his team would again discuss this method of treating Covid victims with the experts in Andhra Pradesh.
