DIG Kranti Rana responded to the stone-pelting attack on Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu in Tirupati.He said that the TDP leaders had complained about the attack and the case had been registered.
The DIG said that they have questioned even the two people who were injured in the incident.
Kranti Rana said that they took the victims to the spot and recreated the scene.
The DIG said that the CCTV cameras, mobile, and media footage were also examined.He clarified that they found no evidence that thugs had come to the campaign and thrown stones at Chandrababu and TDP leaders.
Kranti Rana said that they have received a complaint after the end of the election campaign meeting that stones were thrown at Chandrababu.On Monday, Babu organized a roadshow from Tirupati railway station to Krishnapuram.
In this context, some unidentified thugs had pelted stones on Chandrababu while he is addressing the people.Chandrababu was furious over the incident.
He protested on the road near the campaign vehicle and then lodged a complaint with the police.
On Tuesday morning, Tirupati West police questioned Chandrababu Naidu’s personal security personnel.
They asked the security personnel whether they have seen those who have pelted stones at Chandrababu.
