Maharashtra occupies the top place in the Covid-19 list of most affected states in India.

With more than 16,000 cases every day, Maharashtra’s total positive cases reached to 7,80,689 as of now.The state has the record number of 24, 740 causalities till today. Also, the shortage of ICU beds for critical patients is increasing day-by-day.The Public Health Minister, Rajesh Tope, has a shocking reason for this.

He says, rich people who have tested positive, but asymptomatic and healthy, are unnecessarily occupying ICU beds instead of home isolation. It has become very hard for critical patients to find one when they required.

He urged to stop this process so that the risky patients could occupy the ICU beds.

Consequently, he passed certain orders to district collectors and municipal corporations to be watchful on such type of situations.

The strict action came when a Marathi News channel’s journalist died in such context. The Minister also said patients should identify the symptoms early and join immediately if adverse effects show up.
